OUR WHY
We built the thing that didn't exist.
Chronic illness touches every part of your life. Your career. Your relationships. Your identity. Your finances. Your sense of self on the days your body won't cooperate. And yet nothing existed that treated it that way.
OUR GOAL
100,000 women feeling less alone with chronic illness.
Loneliness is a health crisis. Chronic illness makes it worse.
We are not a charity. We are not a healthcare provider. We are a community - and we believe that connection is one of the most powerful things we can offer someone who is sick and struggling alone.
We know because we needed it. We know because we couldn't find it. We know because the moment we found each other everything shifted.
We are building that moment for 100,000 women.
The media talks about being hot and healthy. We're just out here surviving.
While wellness culture obsesses over optimisation, biohacking and glowing skin, chronically ill women are quietly navigating a completely different reality. The cancelled plans. The identity shifts. The career compromises. The grief of a life that looks nothing like you planned.
Nobody was covering that story. So we started telling it.
Every resource was either dry, preachy or completely disconnected.
Online forums can be a lot. Too dark, too clinical, too full of miracle cure recommendations from someone's cousin. We wanted something different - a space that gets real without peddling negativity. That holds space for the hard stuff without drowning in it.
Our condition is sad enough. So we bring the dark humour.
So we built somewhere that does.
Why we're different
We're condition agnostic
We're community-first.
Dark humour welcome
We are not a support group. Not a wellness brand. Not a patient advocacy organisation. We are a community led by social impact.
HOW IT STARTED
I went looking for this place.
It didn't exist.
So I made it
Chronic since 12
I've been chronically ill for most of my life. But I did what ambitious women do - I got on with it. I built a career working with some of Australia's biggest brands. I showed up. I delivered. I looked completely fine on the outside and told myself the inside would catch up eventually. It didn't.
Then boom
End-stage kidney failure. Dual organ transplant required. The kind of diagnosis that stops everything - your career plans, your relationship plans, your sense of who you are and what your life is supposed to look like. I was navigating a body I no longer recognised, a workplace that didn't know how to support me, friends who didn't know what to say, and dating - actually dating - from a transplant waiting list.
The search
So I did what everyone does. I went online. I found thousands of women feeling exactly the same. The same exhaustion. The same grief. The same invisible weight of managing a condition nobody else can see. But the spaces weren't right. Some were too dark - a spiral waiting to happen. Some were full of misinformation dressed up as hope. Some were so relentlessly positive they made me feel worse for not feeling that way. I just wanted somewhere real. I couldn't find it.
The match
Then I found her. Same age. Same diagnosis. Same life stage. We connected by chance and it changed everything. For the first time I wasn't explaining myself from scratch. I wasn't performing fine or softening the reality. She already knew. She was living it too. That one connection made me feel less alone than anything a doctor had ever said to me. And I kept thinking - why is this so hard to find? There wasn't a way. So I built one.
So I built this for you.
Because one connection changed my life. And I couldn't stop thinking about how many women were still out there looking for theirs.
I got a second chance. I wanted to do something that mattered with it.
This is that thing.
